Integrated Power Management Solution
 Our company started this project on a request of one of the leading manufacturers of Uninterruptible Power Supplies in Europe to develop complying software for their products. The project is intended to supply automated power management of a local network of computers, administrative tools for setup of a power management configuration.
The project incorporates the use of power backup systems like uninterruptible power supply devices. The project is intended to supply users with control and monitoring functions of this class of devices. Using the system the user can monitor the status of each node of the power management configuration. The node can be a PC or a UPS device. Also, the user can customize behavior of each node of the configuration.
The software can put a PC into a power down mode when a certain condition of power supply arises, or send a notification by email or by other messaging service, or run an application or a script. Also, the software can control a UPS device in automatic mode.
This is a multiplatform solution. It is supported on Windows 98/Me, Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003, Linux and other operating systems. The project includes cross-platform components which were implemented using Java technology.
