Monitoring System
SIMASOFT is a monitoring system for unattended computer-aided production of parts on CNC (injection molding) machines. It is a software product which runs as an application under Windows 95, 98, NT or 2000. SIMASOFT manages independent technological processes that may run simultaneously on several machines. SIMASOFT supports different tools. These machine tools should be described in the SIMASOFT database before the process starts. There is a possibility of editing and/or removing machine, tool, and process properties at any time when the production process requires it and SIMASOFT functions are not limited to this.

You can download a SIMASOFT demo-version from this web site. It is free and does not require any additional hardware (special adapters, cables etc.). All the SIMASOFT functions are implemented only in an emulation mode. This means, that even if you have all the required hardware, the system will not receive any signals directly from the machines. Contact us if you are interested in the real version of SIMASOFT.
How does SIMASOFT work?
Every machine, connected to the system, produces two signals: the Dose signal, which indicates the machine-in-work state and is used for counting the working cycles; the Alarm signal which informs about an error situation and indicates that technical support is needed immediately. These signals are gathered from the machine control cabinet and combined by the machine interface module into one signal which is transmitted to the monitoring PC over one cable. The combined signal indicates the status of the production process run on a machine completely. The SIMASOFT GUI displays this status on the monitoring PC screen. Orange circles are displayed for the machines which are currently not in production and green ones for those in production. A red circle is displayed for the machines that have reported an error status. In this case SIMASOFT uses its telephony module to send an alarm message to the responsible person.
