The Tape Library Controller developed by our engineers connects one or more customer applications such as backup software or hierarchical storage management software to one or more Automated Mixed Media Libraries. Its basic function is to virtualize the library when a client application accesses the logical library, which includes an arbitrary part of the physical library.
The Library Controller is physically located between a client application and the library and serves as a centralized management tool that allows multiple applications to share one Library.
The Library Controller incorporates powerful management features for simplifying and automating tracking and management of all the system resources in order to improve the overall system reliability, availability and service ability. This is the solution that is used by a large number of multinational corporations, large banks, and governmental institutions worldwide.
